Los Angeles Neighborhood & School Information

The second largest city in the United States, at just over 4 million residents, Los Angeles is home to Hollywood celebrities and high-priced real estate. Along with entertainment, Los Angeles is a world leader in the business, fashion, music, science, and technology fields.

Bel Air

One third of the “Platinum Triangle” of wealthy Los Angeles communities, Bel Air features expansive properties that are often hidden from view by hedges and gates. In Bel Air you will find former First Ladies and Presidents, movie stars, and moguls.  Generally, you will not find multi-family homes. Bel Air is a small, affluent community within Los Angeles, located between Sunset Boulevard and Mulholland Drive.

Beverly Hills

Perhaps the most famous neighborhood in the Los Angeles area, Beverly Hills is home to countless Hollywood celebrities. It remains one of the most expensive housing markets in the nation. Beverly Hills is bordered on the north by Bel Air and the Santa Monica Mountains, on the east by West Hollywood, the Carthay neighborhood of Los Angeles, and on the south by the Beverlywood.

Brentwood

One of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, Brentwood features commercial districts along San Vicente, Wilshire and Sunset Boulevards. Home to communities such as Brentwood Glen, Brentwood Park and Crestwood Hills, Brentwood offers residents a secluded environment while remaining close to the action.

Pacific Palisades

Known as “Where the Mountains Meet the Sea,” Pacific Palisades is located between Brentwood to the east, Malibu to the west, Santa Monica to the southeast, the Santa Monica Bay to the southwest, and the Santa Monica Mountains to the north. Pacific Palisades is also home to the Riviera Country Club, which hosts the Northern Trust Open (formerly the Los Angeles Open) and has been host to major PGA championships.

Westwood/Wilshire Corridor

Home to UCLA, Westwood is bordered by Brentwood on the west, Bel-Air on the north, Century City and Beverly Hills on the east, and West Los Angeles on the southwest. The site of many movie premieres, Westwood features several vintage movie theaters including the Crest, Mann Village, and Mann Bruin. Westwood also features the "Wilshire Corridor," a winding two-mile section of Wilshire Boulevard to the east of Westwood Village is dominated by luxury residential high-rises.
